Glory Night Week 25 - David Turner International Ministries

Glory Night Week 25

Desires:

Desire is one of life’s strongest emotions. It stresses the strength of feeling and implies a strong intention or aim. Our desires fuel our actions this ability was given to us by God to pull us towards himself and his ways. God knows what is best for you. He will give your heart’s desire when the time is right.

Short prayer:

Hallelujah Heavenly Father we thank you for giving us this wonderful evening. Lord helps us to hear what your words says tonight. Help us to learn something. Almighty God to you all hearts are open, all desires are known; cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the grace of your Holy Spirit we pray in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!

The Desire of God VS The Desire of Man:

The Message is entitled “The Desire of God vs The Desire of Man” God’s desire is always in the spirit. Man’s desire in the flesh. In the bible, Galatians 5:16 to 20 and Galatians 4:29 says the flesh knows the flesh, the spirit knows the spirit and the things of the flesh are always troubling to the things of the spirit. In I John 2:16,17 it says pride of life and lust of the flesh are not from God they are from the world, and it says this world and its desires will pass away but he who does the will of God will live forever Amen! Sometimes in our life, we may be crushed in a moment but when we look back, we will thank God for what didn’t happen, and how that would have taken us in a completely different direction; but it is in ‘the moment’ that the intensity in your life was so strong. We almost get into a depression because we felt like we didn’t get what we wanted, but we have to understand that everything from the enemy in the moment is very strong, everything feels good when you are in sin. The bible tells us that it feels good at ‘the moment’ but in the long run, it’s very painful we wind up suffering. On the other hand the things of God seem pretty tough, but they give a lifetime of joy, peace, righteousness, and goodness in our life, so we have to understand that our desire has to be for God. Many people are living in the flesh and a lot of desires in them are evil so we have to be very careful.

The first thing is to find out what is the cause of lust of the flesh, and evil desires and pride in our life. In the bible John 3:8,12, it says Satan or the devil causes the lust of the flesh and the pride of our life. We know that Satan is the father of lies and he is been causing us to sin from the beginning. Mathew 15:19 says our heart is the cause of evil desires. In Jeremiah 17:9 above all else, the heart can be deceitful; we have to understand that in our heart we have emotions towards something does it mean that happens or we will get it. James 1:14,15 says the flesh is a cause of our devil’s desires. Finally, the last thing in world II Peter 1:4 world is the cause of lust for the flesh. The world is the author of confusion. With God we have to be transformed by the word of God and not conform to the world Amen! Titus 2:12 says to deny youthful lust. II Timothy 2;22 says to flee from all evil. In Galatians 5:16 we should not fulfil the lust of the flesh. So, this is the direction that God wants us to go in. A group of people can come in unity with the desire for the glory of God. In Haggai 2:6,7 it says what happens if a group of people will truly desire the coming of the Messiah and the presence of God? The answer is the glory of God will fall. The glory of God falls on the temple. Hebrews 3:6 says we are the temple of God which means the glory of God will fall upon us when that becomes the desire of our life. We have to desire the goodness of God. How many of us are going into God’s presence in happiness? In II chronicle 5:12to14, it says God is good and his love and mercy endures forever and the Holy Spirit will fall upon us. Our desire must be for spiritual things and not for fleshly things. Things of the flesh are always troubling to the things of the spirit. How the evil circumstances and how the flesh was troubling to the spirit. What is God’s desire in I peter 1:16? ‘Be holy for I am holy’ so Gods desire is for us to be holy and we have to desire Gods desire for our life. In Genesis 39:9 and Genesis 41:38 to 46 even though Joseph had many problems. He walked along with the Holy Spirit, and so he got the promise of God and also God had a plan to make him ruler over the land. Joseph was walking in a godly way and the spirit. But Potiphar’s wife was walking in the very fleshly way. So we have the choice between the Spirit; God’s way and holy life, or the flesh and our way; an unholy life. This is the decision we need to make. We have to be very careful in what we are asking for and know that we are asking for is God’s desire and not our fleshly desire. God’s desire in us has to delight God but our desires will cause us to turn to self-fulfilment and selfishness. In Deuteronomy 30:19, I timothy 6:10, Isaiah 66:4 says God is saying I am giving you the choices it’s up to you. Whenever we choose Gods way it’s always a blessing. When we choose our ways, it will lead to curses and death. The choice is ours. In I Timothy 6:10 says the love of money is the root of evil. Fleshly man is running after money trying to become fulfilled. It says in Mathew 6:33, Mathew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. The fleshly man is running after money and the righteous man is in God’s presence; seeking God first and then God is adding every other thing unto them. Amen! Abraham walked in the Holy Spirit. Because of God’s desire so he became wealthy and all the nations of the earth were blessed through him. He didn’t go by the flesh like Lot. In I Corinthians 6:17 when we join our spirit with the Spirit of the Lord, we can able to hear the voice of God and also be able to walk in the supernatural. The decision in the flesh will never get us inside the gate.

glory night 2

Our desire has to be to pursue Gods desire and Gods will for our life. A fleshly man wants to pursue his own heart’s desire and will. Acts 13:22 says David was a man after Gods own heart because he will ‘do my will’ which is the key. Is better than sacrifice. In Luke 22:42 Jesus said ‘Father, not my will you will be done.’ We have to die to ourselves and our sin and our selfishness and we have to let these things go. Whatever God says just do He will give you the strength, and then energy in it is always Gods’ will. He will make it happen. John 3:30 says you must increase I must decrease. I Samuel 23:17 In the bible Jonathan prophesies to David that you will be king and I will be your side. David was willing to stay out in the wilderness and let God fulfil his time in his way. But we see Jonathan said one thing and he did another. He loved David but he was not at David’s side. Lord will show us many times in our life we say one thing but we do another; that’s what we run into problems James 1:8, James 4:8 says it we should not be double-minded and unstable; we have to draw near to God. So, we need to hear the voice of God, and we have to hear clearly the word of God and simply have to obey like David. I Samuel 15:23,28 David obeyed God, Saul did not, so God took the kingdom from Saul and gave it to David. In Jeremiah 11:7 God said obey my word. In I kings 11:33, Psalms 27:4, and Psalms 5:7 In all the places he loved God, he worshipped God, he walked with the Spirit of the Lord, and we also have to do the same in our life. We have to decide because the choice is up to us. When we surrender to God our life will automatically unfold. Anxiety is the distance between gods plan and our plan. Anxiousness automatically will go out of our life when we have the desire of God. We have to fulfil the desires and the will of God. God says the will of God and chasing and pursuing his desire, or our fleshly desire is all up to our choice. So, we have to be very careful while choosing the desires Amen!

Blessing prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ God immortal invisible, only God. Jesus to you be all the glory and honour and the power Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for loving us so much, every one of your children. Be with them and bless them this week. God let us hear so many great testimonies even next week as we come back together. Bless every person and every family that’s represented here. Oh, may the love of the Father God and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest upon each one of us till you come a second time Amen!

GOD BLESS YOU
